Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field; One to three years of related experience; Valid Arizona driver license or equivalent
• Knowledge of advising and counseling practices; familiarity with college policies and procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to guide students toward degree requirements
• Knowledge of program and services promotion; understanding of instructional methodologies
• Ability to analyze data and identify at-risk students; strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assist students in setting academic goals and identifying information and services
• Provide high-level academic advice to guide students in decisions regarding interests, goals and degree requirements
• Serve as liaison between division deans, faculty and staff to support strategic initiatives
• Participate in outreach events to increase enrollment and awareness
• Perform administrative tasks including registration, paperwork processing and referrals
• Develop individual academic plans and monitor progress to identify at-risk students
• Meet with students to facilitate academic planning and scheduling; address concerns
• Prepare and review course requests and approvals; interpret college policies and procedures
