Job summary

Texas Southmost College seeks a Student Success Coach to drive student success through a case management approach. This role coordinates resources to empower students to stay in school and achieve their goals.

The coach uses all forms of communication to encourage students, direct them to resources, and walk them through critical processes, tracking outcomes to support retention and completion within the assigned caseload.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the provision of resources to empower students to stay in school and achieve success.
• Provide information and assistance to students and their families regarding admissions, financial aid, and registration procedures.
• Counsel students in the general student population and special populations, including Veterans, Athletes, and international students.
• Assist with program planning, course selection, schedules, transferability, and withdrawals.
• Develop and deliver reports on student caseloads for internal administration and external stakeholders.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and presentations using PowerPoint and other media solutions.
• Maintain awareness of best practices and new legislation relating to Admissions, Records, Advising, Testing and Financial Aid.
