Job summary

This role emphasizes collaboration, data tracking in the BLUMEN system, and coordinating a Summer Scholars Bridge Program to ease transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in postsecondary student services.
• Experience addressing equity and socio-emotional barriers affecting undergraduate retention.
• Experience coordinating with multiple student service divisions (Financial Aid, Housing, Career Services, Counseling).
• Knowledge of economic/financial literacy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate workshops addressing non-cognitive needs (study environments, time management, self-advocacy, test anxiety, growth mindset).
• Recruit, train, and supervise three part-time Peer Mentors and coordinate mentoring options for incoming students.
• Provide proactive financial aid guidance and host financial/economic literacy workshops with the Financial Aid Office and School of Business.
• Deliver coordinated career counseling with Career Services to assist undecided or first-generation students and connect with sophomore leadership modules and off-campus site visits.
• Assist participants in establishing career, personal, and financial literacy objectives within Plans of Action (POAs) and review monthly engagement data.
• Coordinate student activities and co-curricular programs to boost campus involvement and provide identity-safe spaces.
• Systematically track participant data in the BLUMEN database to align with TRIO grant metrics.
• Support intake, interview rubrics, and identification of 175 grant participants for the Summer Scholars Bridge Program.
