Job summary

Valencia College is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Success at the Osceola Campus in Kissimmee, FL. The role leads a team of student success coaches, oversees daily operations, and advances student outcomes with on-site leadership across campus locations.

The ideal candidate has strong relationship-building skills, staff development experience, and the ability to manage performance while maintaining exceptional service for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Two years of experience in academic advising/coaching.
• Experience in a team lead capacity or leading others.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and develop staff.
• Knowledge of college career and academic programs.
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead strategies to improve student experience, persistence, retention, and graduation.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate student success coaches.
• Coordinate standard operating procedures for consistent coaching services.
• Analyze data and produce reports to inform decisions.
• Develop onboarding programs and manage training schedules.
• Liaise with academic departments and stakeholders.
