Job summary

The role fosters relationships with students, employers, faculty, staff, and alumni; coordinates events, maintains online content, and supports employer relations and marketing efforts across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
• One year of experience with presentations, training, or teaching.
• One year of experience in higher education, business, non-profit management, or human resources.
• One year of experience planning and coordinating events and activities.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience providing career coaching and career/professional development programming.

Responsibilities

• Provides career and professional development services including individual career coaching and advising using assessments and research.
• Develops, plans, executes, and facilitates career planning and professional development programs and events such as workshops and seminars.
• Develops and maintains relationships to determine and offer services needed for students and academic programs.
• Provides department outreach and student engagement through newsletters, social media, and targeted email campaigns.
• Contributes to content and teaching materials for employability skills training and orientation.
• Creates and distributes department marketing pieces and collaborates on college-wide marketing efforts.
• Screens and approves online database profiles and job postings per procedures.
• Maintains and updates event information online.
• Resolves student career services issues and escalates when needed to department leadership.
• Supports employer relations activities including on-site visits and tours, networking and promotional activities.
