Job summary

ISD 622 is seeking a Check & Connect Program Specialist at Richardson Elementary in Saint Paul. The role supports students with positive behavior interventions and maintains a caseload of students, collaborating with families, school staff, and community providers to promote graduation readiness.

The incumbent will monitor engagement indicators, document results, and complete monthly forms and contact logs to track absences, truancies, suspensions, and credits earned, while aligning with PBIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Knowledge of behavior interventions and support.
• Ability to collaborate with community agencies to provide services to students.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads of students and families, acting as liaisons between home and school.
• Collect data on attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Reteach and provide behavior interventions and engage families to keep students engaged.
• Provide data-based interventions tailored to individual student needs.
• Reteach expectations at the school-wide level.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with other Check & Connect Program Specialists and district social workers.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies to reduce barriers to school success.
