Job summary

St. Louis Public Schools is seeking a Positive Behavior Intervention Specialist to support the PBIS framework under the principal and the Culture and Climate Coordinator.

This role focuses on coordinating schoolwide PBIS, developing staff training, and ensuring effective behavior interventions across tiers. The specialist will work with teachers, families, and community partners to implement data-informed strategies, monitor outcomes, and provide ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with at-risk students and diverse urban populations preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents, students, and community.

Responsibilities

• Attend PBIS and district professional development activities.
• Provide support to staff for behavior concerns and de-escalation.
• Lead PBIS team in developing Behavior Matrix and Tier I-III interventions.
• Analyze discipline data and act on areas of concern.
• Collaborate with staff and external partners to implement PBIS practices.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
• Perform other duties to support PBIS program.
