Job summary

North St in Richardson is seeking a Check and Connect Program Specialist to support students through positive behavior interventions and case management. You will work with students, families, school staff, and community providers to implement strategies that promote graduation and school success.

The role includes tracking engagement, documenting results, and maintaining a contact log to assess progress on attendance, truancy, suspensions, and credits earned as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of behavior interventions and support.
• Ability to collaborate with community agencies to provide services to students.
• Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written format.

Responsibilities

• Work with caseloads of students and families, acting as a liaison between home and school.
• Data collection in-building: monitor attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Reteach and provide behavior interventions; communicate with families and engage students.
• Provide data-based interventions tailored to individual student needs based on student engagement data.
• Reteach expectations at the school-wide level and monitor progress.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies to reduce barriers to school success.
• Collaborate with other Check & Connect Program Specialists and district social workers.
