Job summary

Montana State University College of Agriculture/MAES seeks a proactive Student Success Coordinator to guide undergrad and graduate students through department processes from recruitment to graduation. You will coordinate programs, assist with admissions, advising, and assessments, and collaborate with faculty and university partners to enhance student experiences.

Qualifications

• Administrative, program coordination, student services, advising, or related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent, responsive service and support to students, colleagues, or other constituents.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple concurrent responsibilities, track deadlines and outstanding tasks, and follow projects through to completion.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively use information systems, databases, spreadsheets, and other software applications.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a welcoming and trusted departmental resource for undergraduate and graduate students, helping navigate processes and access resources.
• Coordinates undergraduate and graduate student processes from entry through graduation with faculty advisors and various university offices.
• Supports faculty advising by assigning advisors, coordinating substitutions and other academic actions.
• Serves as primary departmental coordinator for graduate admissions, guiding applicants from admission to funding and appointments.
• Maintains accurate academic records and communicates milestones and deadlines to students and staff.
