Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Student Success Facilitator at Baker Elementary to partner with staff, families, and students to boost engagement, attendance, and social-emotional outcomes.

In this 190-day role, you will implement MTSS-informed interventions, conduct coaching, and collaborate with families to remove barriers to learning. The position emphasizes restorative practices, data-driven decision making, and strong communication in a diverse school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, child development, or a related field required.
• Experience working with students with behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement challenges.
• Experience implementing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within an MTSS framework.
• Knowledge of PBIS, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning.
• Experience collaborating with families to address barriers affecting student success.
• Experience conducting home visits and connecting families with community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to de-escalate challenging situations and support students in self-regulation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with student support teams to identify students needing additional behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement supports.
• Implement targeted interventions to improve self-regulation, engagement, attendance, and school success.
• Support coaching for social skills, conflict resolution, self-management, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
• Assist in developing and monitoring targeted intervention plans.
• Collect and analyze student data to inform decisions and monitor effectiveness.
• Support implementation of evidence-based behavioral and engagement practices.
• Partner with families to identify barriers impacting attendance, engagement, behavior, and academic success.
• Conduct home visits to strengthen school-family partnerships and outcomes.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and relationship-building processes.
• Support student re-entry after behavioral incidents and promote positive school connectedness.
