Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Student Success Education Assistant to support a school-based intervention program that provides academic, social, and emotional guidance to students.

Under supervision, you will help implement individualized student plans, assist with instruction, prepare materials, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and behavior coaches to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of related college education, an AA degree, or pass the Paraprofessional Assessment Exam with a score of 455+.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches.
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized student success plans under supervision.
• Provide additional practice on identified skill areas.
• Adapt classroom activities under teacher direction.
• Prepare instructional materials and operate equipment.
• Collaborate with staff on student issues and progress.
• Monitor daily routines of students and assist with behavior goals.
• Support direct instruction and de-escalation as needed.
