Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant – Student Instruction to support classroom teachers and students within the Teaching and Learning Center. Under supervision, you will assist with instructional materials, keep records, and help supervise students during various activities.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of related college education or an AA degree, or qualifies via the Paraprofessional Assessment exam with a 455+ score.

Qualifications

• At least two years of related college education, an AA degree, or meet the Highly Qualified requirements by passing the Paraprofessional Assessment Exam with a score of 455 or higher.
• Knowledge of instructional procedures and classroom practices.
• Ability to follow district policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of instructional materials and AV equipment.
• Assists students in their understanding of instructional concepts.
• Assists teachers with implementing lesson plans.
• Keeps records of student progress.
• Supervises students during recess and transitions.
• Supports routine clerical tasks.
