Job summary

Columbia State Community College seeks a College Success Advisor to provide holistic student support, intrusive academic advising, and guidance through onboarding, enrollment, and advisement processes across the Williamson County, Lewisburg, and Columbia campuses.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and experience in student services or academic advising. The team collaborates with counseling, disability services, and testing to help students achieve timely graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in academic advising or student services preferred.
• Post-secondary setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with onboarding, admissions, and enrollment.
• Serve as primary advisor, coach, and mentor for a caseload.
• Assist with career exploration and major selection.
• Develop academic plans for timely completion and interventions.
• Coordinate resources for financial and personal support.
• Maintain detailed records of student interactions and outcomes.
• Flexible scheduling for in-person or virtual appointments.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff in delivering support components.
• Assist with Admissions, Financial Aid, and SAP Appeals.
• Promote visibility of the Student Success Coach.
