Job summary

The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a Case Manager to strengthen student persistence by expanding access to resources and supports. The role leads case-management, evaluation, outreach, and referral services for students in distress and coordinates wrap-around services with campus and community partners.

The Case Manager will oversee the Firebird Market pantry, develop external partnerships, and design a year-long student leadership academy to promote personal growth,

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in DC or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum three years post-graduate experience in human/social services relevant to duties.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages a comprehensive case-management program for students with health, housing, food insecurity, and other basic-needs concerns.
• Coordinates interventions, referrals, and follow-ups; tracks student progress.
• Collaborates with campus units, community providers, and agencies to create a network of accessible student-support resources.
• Oversees Firebird Market pantry operations, inventory, and partnerships with campus and community stakeholders.
• Develops and implements a leadership academy to strengthen student leadership and civic engagement.
