Job summary

The Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC) is seeking a collaborative Student Services Coordinator to lead integrated advisement, college transition and career services within the Student Support Services Unit. The coordinator will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management to support adult learners facing barriers—from entry through graduation and employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and two years of supervisory or management experience in student services.
• Strong data management and reporting using student record systems.
• Collaborates across departments to improve student outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication, management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; comfortable with new technology.
• Weekend/evening availability.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead an integrated services team using a coaching model to improve retention and placement.
• Oversee student intake, registration, onboarding, and orientation sessions.
• Oversee Early Alert system and disciplinary processes with timely interventions.
• Develop partnerships with employers for placement opportunities and job readiness.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on persistence, engagement, and placement.
• Co-lead Commencement Ceremony and Recognition Events.
