Job summary

Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC) is seeking an Allied Health Programs Specialist to administer the Allied Health Programs, schedule training, and supervise instructors within the BEOC framework. The role includes coordinating with healthcare partners and supporting student placement into internships or jobs.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with experience or a master’s degree/certification, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or master's degree or professional certification with no experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work with healthcare providers and partners.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer Allied Health Programs at BEOC.
• Schedule training sessions with internal and external trainers and manage administrative components of certification completion.
• Supervise instructors, adjunct instructors, and trainers.
• Coordinate with industry partners and community organizations to identify opportunities for internships or employment for students.
• Create, maintain, and update course syllabi and curricular resources.
• Hold seminars and interactive sessions with students as needed.
• Research curricular resources and ensure materials are ordered and available.
• Support classroom instruction by modeling effective lessons when instructors are unavailable.
• Coordinate with Student Support Services to assist with internships and job placements.
• Run attendance reports and support student participation.
• Participate in information sessions and program orientations.
• Assist with admissions by interviewing prospective students.
