Job summary

Phoenixville Area School District is seeking a Student Support Assistant to collaborate with building staff in promoting high standards for student achievement and behavior. Under the principal's supervision, you will support positive behavior, restorative practices, and supervise students in ISS as needed.

The role emphasizes communication with administrators, maintenance of records, and collaboration with teachers to ensure a productive learning environment for students throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience in public schools and/or working with students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students temporarily removed from the classroom and support positive behavior using restorative practices.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Assist students with daily assigned tasks.
• Communicate with administrators about incidents and suggestions to improve the ISS program.
• Maintain records and submit monthly reports to administration.
