Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools seeks a Dean of Students to provide leadership and support for academic programs and student well-being. The position requires collaboration with parents, teachers, and staff, and includes discipline, counseling, PBIS, and data-based decision making.

The Dean will lead student services, coordinate with families, and guide staff in behavioral interventions while aligning with district goals.

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license in any field.
• Path to licensure in administration, special education, social work or counseling within two years.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, instruction, assessment and refinement.
• Strong teamwork with parents, teachers and support staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ethical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for students in academics, homeroom assignments, registration and course planning.
• Work cooperatively with team members, parents, and other student support staff to meet student needs.
• Provide social, emotional, and behavior intervention consultation with students and families.
• Provide leadership to staff in developing restorative approaches and communicating needs to the principal.
• Develop and implement 4-year/3+1 plans at appropriate levels and support post-secondary planning.
• Participate in district initiatives to promote student growth and achievement.
