Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools in Minnesota seeks a Dean of Students for a full-time, 191-day role starting October 5, 2026. You will support students academically, collaborate with families and staff, and lead social, emotional, and behavioral initiatives to foster a positive school climate.

Qualified candidates hold a MN teaching license and are eligible for or pursuing licensure in administration, special education, social work, or counseling within two years.

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license required, with possible licensure in admin/sped/social work/counseling.
• Eligibility to obtain an administration, special education, social work or counseling license within two years.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, instruction, assessment and evaluation.
• Ability to work with parents, teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for students in academic programs and planning.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and staff to meet student needs.
• Provide social, emotional and behavior intervention consultation with students and families.
• Provide leadership to staff on restorative practices and student growth.
• Promote district learner outcomes and school improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement 504 plans when appropriate.
• Lead PBIS teams and participate in student intervention processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
