Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools seeks a Dean of Students to provide academic support, student planning and behavior interventions across grade levels. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, teachers and staff to promote student well-being and achievement.

The position requires a MN teaching license and progression toward licensure in administration, special education, social work, or counseling within two years. Strong communication and technology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MN teaching license in any field and;
• Must be licensed or accepted into a program leading to admin, special ed, social work or counseling within two years.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, instruction, assessment and refinement.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with parents, teachers and staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use technology in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for students in academic programs and course planning.
• Work with parents and staff to meet student needs.
• Provide social, emotional and behavioral intervention consultation.
• Lead staff in restorative practices and student growth initiatives.
• Develop 504 plans when appropriate.
• Use data to inform decisions on student plans and interventions.
• Coordinate with teachers and administrators.Optional additional duties as assigned.
