Gestalt Community Schools is seeking teacher assistants for the 2023-2024 school year to support elementary, middle or high school learners. Location: 111 - PCAES HH. Assistants help teachers, coordinate activities, and maintain records to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience working with/ managing children.
• High school diploma with 48 college credits required.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong passion for youth development and Gestalt's mission.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers with copying, observation, attendance, and admin tasks.
• Coordinates program activities (games, art, music, homework) for children.
• Evaluates situations and directs to appropriate personnel for action.
• Interacts with scholars to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Maintains enrollment, sign-in/out logs, invoices and receipts.
• Participates in staff meetings to share information and improve skills.
• Maintains a safe environment for children.
• Other duties as assigned.
