Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking teacher assistants for the 2023-2024 school year. Positions will be assigned to elementary, middle or high school levels and involve supporting teachers with classroom and administrative tasks.

Requirements include at least one year working with children or programs for children, a high school diploma with 48 college credits, and strong communication and record-keeping abilities. A background check is required.

Qualifications

At least one year experience working with and/or managing children or programs involving children.
Minimum high school diploma with 48 college credit hours.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Assists teachers with assignments, copying, attendance, and other administrative tasks.
Coordinates program activities (games, art, music, homework) to meet student needs.
Evaluates situations to determine appropriate actions and directs to staff as needed.
Maintains enrollment records, sign-in/out logs, and related paperwork.
Participates in meetings to share information and improve skills.
Maintains a safe environment for children and supports positive learning.
