Job summary

Tucson Unified School District seeks a program coordinator to plan and develop student/family mentoring initiatives, raising academic and social achievement. The role acts as the liaison between TUSD and local businesses to support mentoring efforts.

Qualified candidates will have a related bachelor’s degree, several years of experience with school-age programs, and an Arizona IVP clearance. Flexibility to work evenings/weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services, Counseling, or related field.
• Four years experience providing direct services and oversight for a program involving school-age children.
• AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test or equivalent.
• Six years progressive experience with school-age programs.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Verbal and written English communication; ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and develop student/family mentor programs to raise academic and social achievement.
• Disseminate information about the mentor program and serve as liaison with the business community.
• Perform related work and coordinate with Tucson Unified School District and partners.
