Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a dedicated program coordinator to plan, coordinate, and develop student/family mentor programs that boost academic and social outcomes.

Under general supervision, the role disseminates information, performs related duties, and serves as the liaison between TUSD and local business partners to strengthen mentoring initiatives. Flexibility for evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Services, Counseling, or related field.
• Four (4) years experience in direct services and program oversight for a program or project involving school age children.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English; ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and develop student/family mentor programs to increase student academic and social achievement.
• Disseminate information about the mentor program and serve as liaison between Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) and the business community for mentoring programs.
