Job summary

Omega Community Development Corporation in Dayton, OH seeks a Hope Zone Student Success Navigator to build relationships with children and families, co-design individualized student success plans, and connect them with community resources.

You will manage a caseload of 30–60 students, document progress, conduct regular check-ins, and collaborate with schools and community organizations to support post-secondary goals and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; some college experience required.
• Experience as an educator, social worker, community health worker, case manager, counselor, or community advocate preferred.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and successfully facilitate multiple projects.
• Experience with community-based organizations, families, educators, and volunteers.
• Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural competency and sensitivity with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Co-design individualized student success plans with children and families according to planning standards.
• Document and track progress with monthly updates on attendance, behavior, academics, referrals, resources and interventions.
• Complete regular check-ins with children via in-person, text, email, or video calls.
• Facilitate communication and relationship-building with teachers, staff, students and partners.
• Serve as a mentor and advocate for students and families.
• Engage community and neighborhood partners to share resources for student needs.
