Job summary

The National Center for Urban Solutions in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Scholar Engagement Coach/Case Manager to support scholars and families, ensuring academic success and overall well-being.

You will conduct home visits, connect families to community resources, monitor attendance, assist scholars with meeting school expectations, coordinate testing and behavioral support, and organize activities on and off campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with scholars and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and services available to support scholars.
• Familiarity with attendance tracking systems and procedures.
• Result driven and innovative thinker with flexible scheduling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to meet unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Home Visits to establish relationships with scholars and families.
• Connect scholars and families to community resources and services.
• Monitor school attendance and address attendance issues promptly.
• Assist scholars with meeting school expectations in academics and behavior.
• Coordinate testing accommodations and behavioral support as needed.
• Complete attendance letters and file truancy reports per policies.
• Develop and implement activities that engage scholars on and off campus.
• Plan and execute summer recruitment activities for enrollment.
