Job summary

The University of Minnesota – Crookston campus seeks an Academic Advisor and Tutoring Services Coordinator to manage a partial advising caseload and oversee Tutoring Services operations beyond the Writing Center. The role reports to the Director of Student Success and Academic Advising and collaborates across campus to support diverse student needs and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus at least four years of relevant experience or Master’s degree plus at least two years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competence, and achievement in working with diverse student populations.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated academic advising to online and on-campus students with knowledge of curricular options and policies.
• Review student progress and plan courses and transfer evaluations to support degree progress.
• Meet with students in person or via video for guidance on course selection and degree progress.
• Coordinate tutoring operations to ensure scheduling and service delivery.
