Texas A&M University in Texas is seeking a Coordinator of Undergraduate Academic Advising to lead a team of Academic Success Coaches and guide students through transitions into the University, set academic goals, and address concerns.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience; duties include supervising advisors, updating degree plans, coordinating orientations, and driving strategies to improve student retention.
The Coordinator of Undergraduate Academic Advising, under direction, leads a team of Academic Success Coaches in assisting students in making smooth transitions into the University. Understanding the general education curriculum, the Coordinator sets academic goals and addresses academic concerns.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education – Bachelor’s degree.
Experience – Five years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge and Abilities:
License/Professional Certification – None.
Physical Requirements – General office environment, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Supervision of Others – This position may supervise employees.
Other Requirements – Evening and/or weekend hours may be required. Position requires on‑campus, face‑to‑face interactions. Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Salary: $48,110.40 per annum.
