Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a detail-oriented Student Services Specialist to join our Community Education Division. Under supervision, you will process admissions applications, help with testing and enrollment, and coordinate services at multiple MATC locations, including CRC and DRC settings.

You will advise students on academic decisions and career options, assist with registration, and ensure high-quality customer service across channels.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Education, Behavioral Sciences, Business, or Marketing is required.
• At least three (3) years of related experience; CRC background check if offered.
• Knowledge of admissions, enrollment, testing, and career services.

Responsibilities

• Advise current and prospective students on academic decisions, career development, and supportive services.
• Assist with class selection, test scores, transcripts, program plans, and registration.
• Provide recruitment, admissions, testing, and advising services at multiple centers and settings.
• Explain program information and career pathways to applicants to ensure understanding.
• Deliver excellent customer service across face-to-face, phone, email, and print channels.
• Collaborate with MATC staff and community organizations to support referrals and progress.
• Develop and deliver information on interviewing and job searching; participate in workshops and committees.
