Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a grant-funded AEFL Coordinator to support the Adult Education & Family Literacy programs. You will assist students, faculty, and staff with academic and tutorial support, recruitment, and retention at campus locations.
The role emphasizes data collection, reporting, and collaboration with community organizations, while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to grant guidelines. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.
Under the direction of the Dean and AEFL Grant Coordinator, this position works with students, faculty, and staff in the Adult Education & Family Literacy (AEFL) Programs. Assist students, faculty, and staff at our campus locations as needed to coordinate academic and tutorial support as well as participate in related activities such as recruitment and retention. Work requires judgment, analysis, and decision‑making according to established practices and procedures. Supervision received is general in nature and daily responsibilities are completed independently in coordination with the faculty, staff, and grant coordinator.
Note: This is a grant‑funded position. Funding for this position is contingent upon the terms of the grant. This position is funded through 6/30/27.

*Relevant experience includes previous work in a (community based organization, high school or higher education) student facing position which directly provides support services which assist students achieve academic success.
This position supports the Community Education Division and is available to start as soon as possible. This is an AEFL Grant Funded positions with current funding through June 30, 2027.
This is a 100% IN PERSON/ON SITE 38.75 hours per work week year round position. The hours would be 8am to 4:30pm on some days and 9:30am to 6pm on others. During busy registration seasons like December and April we also have ASC's work 11am to 8pm and an occasional weekend to help with enrollment events.
Primarily based out of the Milwaukee Downtown campus with the ability to flex to other locations if needed to support student success. Employees will conduct all work hours in the State of Wisconsin, performing work outside the state is strictly prohibited.
Salaries are listed up to the midpoint of the range and placement is determined based on years of experience, internal salary equity, and a review of the applicant's employment and educational background as listed on the fully completed job application.
