Drexel University’s Salus Campus in Elkins Park, PA seeks an Academic Advisor to serve as the primary contact and advocate for students from acceptance to graduation. The AA guides academic planning, supports course registration, and coordinates resources to enable degree completion with a student-centered approach.

Responsibilities include proactive communication, documenting interactions, and liaising with Drexel Central for financial aid and related services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2+ years of higher education experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Banner/Hyperion is beneficial.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records per FERPA and university policies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation and initiative.

Responsabilités

• Initiate and maintain consistent communication with assigned students each term.
• Document and track student encounters in advising software (AVT).
• Coordinate plan of study, assist with course registration, and monitor progress.
• Notify students of important dates, deadlines, and scheduling.
• Provide information and potential options for informed academic decisions.
• Create and update student plans of study and course sequencing.
• Counsel and assist students with Web-registration and referrals to Drexel offices.
• Track progression and requirements; troubleshoot issues and guide to appropriate resources.
• Act as liaison to faculty and administration on behalf of the student.
