Drexel University is seeking an Academic Advisor to be the primary contact for students, guiding them from acceptance through graduation with proactive advisement and resource navigation. The advisor communicates consistently, tracks progress, and liaises with campus offices to support degree completion.

The role emphasizes student success, retention, and proactive counseling, with responsibilities spanning plan of study development, enrollment coordination, and timely information sharing.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in higher education
• Experience with advising students and academic programs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with FERPA and student privacy

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Drexel students across their academic lifecycles
• Document and track student interactions in advising software (AVT)
• Coordinate plans of study and assist with course registration
• Notify students of important dates, deadlines, and policy changes
• Losterile liaison to faculty and Drexel Central offices for student needs
• Identify at-risk students and support retention efforts
• Counsel students on time management, study methods, and resources
• Guide accepted students with program/department questions
