Gaston College seeks an Academic Advisor to provide academic advising, career guidance, and support services to students under the direction of the Advising and Testing Services Director. You will collect, organize, and analyze information from records, tests, and interviews to promote academic success.

You will participate in college programs and committees, make referrals to campus resources, and contribute to special projects while maintaining professional standards and excellent customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Three years of work experience in human services; higher education experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to advise and support students.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and registration assistance using multiple platforms.
• Assist students in developing educational goals and program plans.
• Refer students to counselors and campus resources as needed.
• Maintain confidential student records and documentation.
