UMass Boston is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide comprehensive advising to College of Management students, supporting retention and timely graduation. You will manage a caseload, guide course selection, and help students navigate policies and resources.

The role includes coordinating MAP, PASS, and various student services, with a focus on diverse populations and collaborative teamwork within the CM office. Evening/weekend flexibility may be required.

Formación

• Master's Degree or equivalent experience with 1-3 years of direct student service.
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with first-year and transfer students preferred.
• Flex schedule with evenings and occasional weekends may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive academic advising and related services to CM students.
• Serve as designated advisor for an assigned caseload of students.
• Assist students in course selection and on-time degree completion.
• Help students understand university policies as they pertain to academic progress.
• Maintain regular communication with caseload regarding deadlines, resources, and opportunities.
• Coordinate advising resources and systems for students in academic jeopardy.
• Advise for the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and coordinate program portions for undergraduates.
• Participate in orientation programs and provide advising sessions in person or virtually.
• Stay current with advising theory and trends and master university tools for advising.
