JOB SUMMARY

Performs professional duties in one or more student services program areas at an institution of higher education.

JOB DUTIES

• 20% - Service: Participates in departmental, College, and University wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.
• 20% - Program Coordination: Plans and organizes student centered initiatives, programs, or events (e.g. outreach and developmental programming, orientation, bridge and transfer programs, advising communications, software implementation, event coordination). Maintains schedule, manages logistics, recruits participants for initiatives, communicates and reports on program outcomes. Guides the work of other advisors and staff participating in these initiatives. Attends relevant meetings and serves as liaison for the department.
• 20% - Academic Progress: Advises and counsels students on academic progress. Advises and counsels students on University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies.
• 40% - Course Selection: Advises and counsels students on course selection and registration procedures. Advising case load will be assigned based on the needs of the department. Develops and maintains confidential records.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary Range $48,600.00 - $50,000.00 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
