Job summary

Pima Community College seeks Part-time Peer Mentors to assist in Student Services Centers and related Student Affairs programs. You will greet students, help them navigate college processes, and support campus events, with training provided before starting.

The role may include evenings and weekends, and placement in the applicant pool is contingent on enrollment and scheduling needs. Active PCC students with 6+ credits and strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED and be registered for at least 6 PCC credits in the prior semester.
  • Must register for at least 6 PCC credits in Fall 2026 and 3 credits in Summer 2026 to start July 2026.
  • Available to work flexible shifts; leave requests not permitted in August or January.
  • Achieve satisfactory academic progress (GPA 2.5 preferred).
  • Experience in student leadership, service-learning, college work, or customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet students in person or by phone in the SSCs and at Student Life centers or events.
  • Assist students in navigating college processes and resources (e.g., MyPima).
  • Support NSO, Student Life, and other Student Affairs programming.
  • Perform general office duties: answer phones, schedule, data entry, email, greet students.
  • Follow up with students after events to answer questions.
