Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking a Customer Svc Associate 1 for the Department of Public Safety. The role includes greeting guests at the student services desk, issuing lodging for dorms and lodging, handling meal tickets, answering phones, and monitoring security systems and radio communications.

Shift work may include weekends and holidays. Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or GED with relevant customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and two years of experience in a customer service operation that involved multi-tasking and maintaining positive interaction with customers.
• High school diploma/GED and six (6) months of full-time work experience providing customer support or technical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival at the student services desk.
• Issues lodging for students and instructors for dormitory/motel rooms and provides meal tickets.
• Answers telephone.
• Monitors and electronically operates front-gate security system.
• Monitors radio communications and alarm systems.
• Work hours subject to shift changes and/or shift rotation, including weekends and holidays.
