Job summary

Eagleridge Enrichment Program within Mesa Public Schools seeks a Non-Instructional Assistant Cafeteria and/or Playground to supervise students in the cafeteria or on the playground, ensuring safety and proper conduct. The role is part-time, 12.5 hours weekly, with a base hourly rate of $16.56.

The successful candidate will monitor student activities, intervene as needed, and communicate incidents to school staff while assisting during lunchtime and performing light cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with and/or supervising children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of students in the cafeteria and/or on the playground.
• Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
• Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns.
• Assist students during lunchtime.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills on tables, floor, etc.).
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools.
