Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Non-Instructional Assistant Cafeteria and/or Playground (Part Time) for the Eagleridge Enrichment Program. You will monitor student activities, assist during lunchtime, and help maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Responsibilities include counseling rowdy students, reporting incidents to school staff, and supporting routine cleaning. Must be 18+, with high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with and/or supervising children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of students in the cafeteria and playground.
• Counsel and intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
• Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns.
• Assist students during lunchtime.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills on tables, floor, etc.).
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools.
