The schedule is 19 hours per week across 10 months; duties include coordinating with counselors, admissions, and financial aid to facilitate intake and transfer activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school; OR two years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend vocational and academic classes to observe retention skills.
• Monitor student progress and provide advisement to improve academic standing.
• Discuss problems with students and faculty to identify improvement options.
• Assist in coordinating learning activities and tutoring services.
• Coordinate group activities such as study groups and workshops.
• Provide information and referrals to financial aid and community programs.
• Coordinate with program counselors and staff.
• Collect and analyze data on student progress and maintain retention databases.
• Research local career opportunities for program students.
• Coordinate admissions, counseling and financial aid intake processes.
• Identify activities to assist student transfers to four-year institutions.
• Assist in planning and delivering informational workshops.
• Assist in preparing project plans and reports.
• May present information to multicultural communities.
