Job summary

San José-Evergreen Community College District is seeking a Program Specialist (Student Life) to coordinate activities within a large program, from recruitment to creating handouts and marketing materials for students. The role reports to the Director of Outreach, Student Life, and Community Standards at Evergreen Valley College and runs 40 hours per week, year-round.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Two years of related experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating program activities.
• Conduct community outreach to students and community partners.
• Produce and disseminate communications and marketing materials.
• Plan and organize orientations and events.
• Attend program-related functions on/off campus.
• Coordinate front office activities and refer students as needed.
• Collect and compile program data and reports.
• Maintain program accounts and bookkeeping tasks.
• Provide general administrative support to the program.
• Learn and follow program policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
