Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapy student to assist with aerosol therapy, chest PT, and oximetry under supervision. You will participate in Basic Life Support activities and learn to operate respiratory care equipment.

Applicants must be enrolled in an AMA-approved respiratory care program, have completed one semester, maintain active student status, and provide a letter of recommendation.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification to be completed within 60 days of hire.
• Enrolled in AMA approved respiratory care program and completed at least one semester.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest PT and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and families; cleans and maintains equipment.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures under supervision.
