Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care student on clinical rotation. You will administer aerosol therapy, chest therapy, and oximetry evaluations for non-critical patients under supervision.

You will also clean, assemble, set up and maintain equipment and supplies while assisting licensed staff. The role requires BCLS and ACLS after the second semester, with active student status and a recommendation from the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and completed one semester.
• Active student status must be maintained and documented; must submit letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest therapy and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and representatives.
• Cleans, assembles, sets up and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures under supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
