Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care student for shifts 7a-7p as needed at Piedmont Newton Hospital in Georgia. The role supports aerosol therapy, chest therapy, and oximetry for non-critical patients within a collaborative care setting.

Applicants must be enrolled in an AMA-approved program, maintain active student status, and provide program director recommendations. BCLS and ACLS are required, with ongoing training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Student currently enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and completed one semester.
• Active student status must be maintained and documented. Must submit letter of recommendation from Program Director for consideration of employment.
• Must have completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care activities to patients and their representatives.
• Cleans, assembles, sets up and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures as ordered under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
