Position Summary

Doane University is looking for a dynamic Student Recruitment Specialist to help prospective students and their families seamlessly navigate their journey from first inquiry to their very first day on campus.
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for effectively managing the recruitment of prospective students in a specialized area. The position facilitates a positive student experience from the initial inquiry by providing guidance with the admissions/ enrollment process and ensuring a smooth transition into the university. You will also communicate important University information about policies, procedures, programs, and student life in engaging, student-focused presentations. As a recruiter, you are involved with special events, both on-campus and off-campus, and daily interaction with various campus partners and the public.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree plus experience in sales, recruiting, or similar experience. Experience must include effective use of Salesforce or a similar customer relationship management tool.

  • Friendly, professional sales attitude and demonstrated ability to influence.
  • A consultative, solution-based soft sales approach to guide students through Doane University’s application and admission processes.
  • Outreach and networking skills for working with campus and community partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish relationships using a variety of communication channels.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and remain student-centered and responsive.
  • A desire to represent Doane University and a passion for lifelong learning and guiding people to their next level of education.

A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the university’s automobile insurance provider.
