Position Summary

We are hiring an Undergraduate Admissions Representative to joinour Undergraduate Admissions team. This position is responsible formanaging a territory and recruiting students throughout theadmissions process. This includes traveling to college fairs, highschool visits, and regional presentations to build leads. TheRepresentative should maintain contact with students and familiesthroughout the application and admission process. This includesactively calling and messaging to gauge interest and assist inenrolling prospective students. Representatives must maintain aconnection with other constituents in the assigned territory,including High School Counselors. Representatives Will developpublic presentations designed to promote the institution.Presentations may range in size from a single student to a largeaudience.

  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strongrelationships with community organizations, schools, and keystakeholders to expand awareness of educational opportunities atUNO . Proactively engage with prospective students and theirfamilies through outreach events, presentations, and collaborationsthat foster a welcoming and supportive pathway to highereducation.
  • Recruitment Territory Management : Manage a designatedrecruitment territory by establishing and maintaining relationshipswithin the community to achieve enrollment objectives. Engage withkey stakeholders, schools, and organizations to expand awareness ofUNO’s academic programs.
  • Increased Time and Event Commitment: Dedicate additionaltime to community-based events, outreach activities, andrecruitment efforts beyond the standard admissions role.Participate in extended engagement opportunities to strengthenconnections with prospective students and families.
  • Outreach Strategy Development: Assist in the creationand execution of outreach strategies that effectively connect withprospective students, families, and community partners. Identifyopportunities for meaningful engagement to enhance awareness ofUNO’s offerings.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of outreachactivities and recruitment initiatives, systematically trackingprogress toward enrollment goals. Ensure data accuracy andtransparency in reporting.
  • University Ambassador: Represent the University ofNebraska at Omaha as a knowledgeable and welcoming resource forprospective students and their families. Foster strong personalconnections and convey the institution’s academic and student lifeopportunities.
  • Admissions Data Management: Manage admissions data forstudents in the assigned region, ensuring a smooth application andenrollment process. Direct students to appropriate resources andsupport services as needed.
  • External Partnerships: Build and sustain relationshipswith schools, community organizations, and partners involved incollaborative agreements. Strengthen engagement efforts to supportstudents to higher education.
  • Recruitment Strategies : Execute recruitment strategiesthat align with university enrollment goals, focusing on expandingawareness and access to UNO’s academic programs and student supportservices.
  • Goal-Driven Territory Management : Oversee recruitmentefforts within the assigned territory, working towards annualenrollment targets in alignment with institutional goals andoutreach initiatives.

Job Duties

Responsibility Area: Represent the University / Provide Advising Services

Duties: Represent the University of Nebraska at Omaha at corporatevisits/events, college fairs, community events, and other offcampus recruitment events. Communicate the necessary information,program opportunities, and scholarship and financial aidinformation to prospective students, both first time and transferstudents. The admissions representative will carry out the specificstrategy, and in collaboration with the team, determine a marketingapproach for the particular assigned region to increase the numberof students in programs best designed for them at the University.Whether in person, through electronic communication, or the phone,the Admissions Representative will provide expanded advising toprospective students and families who inquire about the admissionrequirements, how to apply or transfer to UNO, their admissionstatus, residency or special tuition reduction programs, anddocuments required for admission. Must be completely aware ofUniversity Admission Requirements as well as have a strong overallunderstanding of the University. While observing FERPA privacylaws, the admission representative will answer questions regardingadmissions and direct customers to the appropriate person or officeon campus. Customers may be students, families, or otherdepartments.

Duties: The Admissions Representative will be assigned a specificterritory. They are responsible for complete management of theirterritory to achieve annual recruitment goals through theadministrative CRM system, telecounseling and travel. TheAdmissions Representative will implement the establishedstrategies, objectives and goals to achieve their specificrecruitment goals within their assigned area.
