Job summary

Eureka College is seeking an Admissions Counselor to recruit students, explain the admissions process, and guide families through enrollment. The role requires extensive travel and evening/weekend availability, with a focus on building relationships with high school counselors and schools.

The counselor will coordinate educational sessions, collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid, and manage data in the CRM while aiming to meet enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Prior work in an educational institution or sales-based organization (internships and work-study acceptable).
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Implement an effective recruiting and enrollment plan for the assigned territory.
• Communicate with prospective and admitted students through verbal and written channels (social media, calls, emails, texts, etc.).
• Develop, coordinate and provide educational sessions on the admissions process for high schools or other audiences.
• Plan and implement travel to reach target audiences in the territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors to identify prospective students.
• Interpret student materials and counsel on pathways to college admission.
• Create presentations with Financial Aid to explain aid processes and scholarships.
• Evaluate applications and use professional judgment to determine eligibility; review with Dean.
• Enter data in the student information system/CRM.
• Travel required; some evenings and weekends may be required.
• Collaborate with other admissions staff to plan on-campus events and recruitment efforts.
• Coordinate with faculty/coaches to support recruitment initiatives.
