Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Salmon P. Chase Center seeks a Student Recruiter to drive outreach and recruitment for its civics program. You will work with theCenter’s Assistant Director to recruit K-12 and OSU students, build partnerships, and expand engagement with diverse communities.

You will travel regionally, manage events, and develop procedures for strategic engagement while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a field relevant to the Center’s mission.
• 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Regular in-person attendance is expected.
• Experience engaging with K-12 schools and communities.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Center’s outreach and recruitment efforts to yield students for the Center’s degrees, programs, and courses.
• Recruit both K-12 and Ohio State students to the Chase Center.
• Develop, deliver, measure, and evaluate recruitment initiatives to optimize effectiveness.
• Engage with K-12 schools and plan recruitment events on and off campus.
• Travel regionally 4–8 days per month; overnight travel up to 12 times per year.
