Job summary

The Ohio State University Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society seeks a Student Recruiter to advance outreach and recruitment of K-12 and OSU students for degree programs and courses.

The role reports to the Center’s Assistant Director and embraces the Center’s mission of citizenship education. The Recruiter will develop partnerships with K-12 schools, plan recruitment events, and support strategic engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel regionally on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach and recruitment efforts for K-12 and OSU students.
• Develop procedures for engagement with K-12 schools and communities.
• Plan and implement recruitment events on and off campus.
• Travel regionally up to 4–8 business days per month and up to 12 overnight trips per year.
