Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a School Registrar to maintain accurate student records in a computerized system and to retrieve and convey information to parents, teachers, and administrators.

The role requires high school education, proficiency with Word/Excel and Synergy, and heavy daily telephone contact. Typical schedule follows the school calendar (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with overtime during peak periods; benefits include sick leave and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc); experience with district based student database Synergy.

Responsibilities

• Extensive telephone contact with parents and general public.
• Work closely with teachers, counselors and admin staff regarding scheduling and changes.
• Record grades, reading, math and writing requirements for ninth graders on permanent records.
• Compile weekly enrollment reports.
• Implement registration of new students and withdrawals.
• Maintain boundary exception forms and required reports.
• Train and supervise registration assistant.
• Assist with other duties as appropriate.
